For years, the life stories of people has intrigued me. My grandparents spoke limited English. I wanted to know about their life in Ukraine as well as the struggles and achievements of starting a life in Canada so I interviewed them using a micro-cassette recorder.

For decades, I carried that cassette tape with me in my many moves across Canada. When I found a micro-cassette player and played the tape, my family and I were thrilled to hear their voices again. When the tape was rewound, the tape stretched and their voices were gone. We were devastated.

The night before my uncle passed away, I interviewed him about his life from his hospital bed. What did he love about being a father? What words of wisdom did he have to share? As his daughter recorded us, those in the room cried at how special and fleeting that moment was.

Those occasions and many more have motivated me to offer my services to you to capture your legacy on video. By inserting music and cherished photographs in the video, it becomes a valuable piece of your family’s history.
